Entrepreneurship, in some form or another, has been visible in African American communities for as long as they have existed. The socio-economic environment in the US has always presented African American business owners with unique challenges and opportunities.

On Friday, February 05, 2021, a live panel discussion moderated by Valerie Jensen, the Director of the City of Saint Paul Department of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity (HREEO) will feature four, Saint Paul-based African-American led businesses. The conversation will revolve around the dynamic between entrepreneurship and family in African-American households and will include the following enterprises and respective representatives:
