    JANUARY

    • January 27th: Right Track Application Opens
    • January: In-Person Recruitment Begins

    FEBRUARY

    • February: In-person Recruitment at Schools & Community Spaces
    • February 28th: Right Track Application Closes

    MARCH

    • What’s Next? Training on YJ1 Process

      • Thurs 3/6 (4 pm @ Arlington Hills)
      • Thurs 3/6 (5 pm @ Arlington Hills)
      • Wed 3/12 (4 pm @ Frogtown)
      • Wed 3/12 (5 pm @ Frogtown)
    • March 18th: Career Exploration Day (3 pm - 6 pm) @ Jimmy Lee/Oxford
    • March 19th - April 2nd: YJ1 Supervisor’s Interview Youth Participants

    APRIL

    • Interviews conclude and matches are finalized, payroll paperwork is assigned to interns

    • Pre-Employment Training

      • Tues 4/15: 4PM & 5:15PM @ Frogtown
      • Wed 4/16: 4PM & 5:15PM @ Rondo
      • Thurs 4/17: 4PM & 5:15PM @ Arlington
    • Payroll Support Session/I9 Verification Tues 4/29: 4 - 7 pm @ Frogtown

    MAY

    • Payroll Support Session / I9 Verification
      • Wed 5/7: 4 pm - 7 pm @ Rondo Library
      • Sat 5/10: 11 am - 2 pm @ Arlington Hills

    JUNE

    • Receive “Approved to Start” communications once all payroll is approved & processed
    • June 16th: Program Start (for approved interns)
    • June 19th: No Work (Juneteenth)

    JULY

    • July 4th: No Work (4th of July)
    • July 10 & 11: Week 1 of Training
    • July 17 & 18: Week 2 of Training
    • July 24 & 25: Week 3 of Training
    • July 31 & August 1: Week 4 of Training

    AUGUST

    • August 6th: End of Summer Celebration (1 pm - 4 pm) @ Como Midway Picnic Pavilion
    • August 15th: Last Day of Program

    Tips for Registering:

    1. Select the location

    2. Select the date, only the bolded dates are available. If a session is full, you will not be able to register for that session.

    3. Select the Time you would like to attend. Some days have multiple sessions.

    4. Fill out the registration form with your information. MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL IS TYPED IN CORRECTLY. We want to make sure you get the confirmation email and reminder emails after you have registered.

    Please only sign up for 1 time, if you need to cancel or change to a different time, click the link in your confirmation email to change your time.

    Career Exploration Day - Tuesday, March 18th, 2024

    Career Exploration Day (CED) is happening on March 18th at Jimmy Lee/Oxford Community Center (270 Lexington Pkwy, Saint Paul, MN, 55104) from 3-6pm. You will not need to attend the entire time, but you should plan to spend 45-60 minutes talking with potential employers and scheduling up to 5 interviews. If you have a resume completed, you should plan to bring a few copies.


    YJ1 Job Catalog - This catalog includes the job descriptions for each internship opportunity for the Summer. This tool will help you begin thinking about where you would like to interview and potentially work this summer.

    Job Map - Use this tool to narrow down your internship search. All the information from this tool: Will you be able to physically get from your home/residence to your internship? Is it on a bus route? How long will it take you to get there each day?

    Interest Surveys - This link will bring you to 3 surveys to help you start thinking about your career interests. The surveys are focused on your current career interest, skills and values, and will generate a list of possible careers you may be interested in exploring based on your responses.

    Resume 101 - Where to Start?- You have more skills and experience than you might think! Scan the QR code and complete the form to organize your information.
