Our final Black History Month event brings community members together for a celebration of arts and history. Join us for The Gallery: a collection of history, music, art, and food at Rondo Community Library.

The Gallery at Rondo Library

Thursday, February 29, 3 to 7 p.m.
461 N. Dale St., Saint Paul, MN 55103.

Activities and experiences for the whole family:

3pm: African Drumming & Art Activities

  • Brother Ghana M'Baye will teach us a traditional African dance and how to play the ancient African drum.
  • Local artists will guide immersive art activities that promote awareness and appreciation for Black history and culture.

4pm: Reconnect Rondo Initiatives & African American and Liberian Cuisine

5pm: Guest Speakers & Celebration of 50 Years of Hip Hop

  • A proclamation read by Mayor Carter and spoken word and poetry performed by local community members.
  • We will end the night with music, deejayed by Tim Wilson, owner of Urban Lights Music.

Fun & Fellowship for All Ages
