The Downtown Streets and Sidewalks Plan aims to enable a safe, beautiful, and well-connected downtown street network. The Plan will examine all the needs that downtown’s street network must serve and determine the best way to fit the many pieces together, with a focus on an enhanced pedestrian experience and reduced automobile dependency. For more information on the project, see the project website.

The Plan will include a proposed street network for all downtown streets. The network will be organized by the following street types to help illustrate each street's long-term vision and needs.

Proposed Street Types

Green Streets have trees, pedestrian and bicycle amenities, and commerce.Festival Streets are typically curbless with pedestrian amenities and programming for events.

Connector Streets facilitate driving to and from downtown reliably.
Equitable Access Streets prioritize people movement to and through downtown without a personal vehicle.
