The City is looking for feedback from area residents, students, school staff, business owners and employees, and anyone who travels along or across Grand Avenue through the project extent.
The City of Saint Paul plans to reconstruct Grand Avenue from Fairview Avenue to Snelling Avenue in 2024. The project includes demolition and replacement of the pavement, sidewalks, and underground utilities along the corridor. This is the first full reconstruction of this section of Grand Avenue in many decades and presents an opportunity to refresh the historic street to better accommodate all modes of travel to and along the corridor.
With these engagement tools the City is looking to receive feedback on users experiences traveling along, to or across Grand Avenue. Examples of potential feedback are included below, but not limited to:
Cross walks where pedestrians are unsafe
Sidewalks, curbs, signage, or other infrastructure in need of repair
Areas that could be improved for local businesses
Opportunities to make life easier for public transit riders
Options for non-automotive travel
Improvements to interaction and placemaking for Macalester College campus
