2025 Community Proposal Public Hearing August 12
The City of Saint Paul’s Long-Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 12, 2024, 5 – 7 pm (or until last speaker) in the Multipurpose Room at Rondo Community Library, located at 461 Dale St N, St Paul, MN 55103, to hear public testimony regarding its preliminary recommendations for funding of Community Proposals for 2024 and 2025 capital improvement funds. This includes $1,00,000 in St. Paul Capital Improvement Bonds in total over 2024 and 2025. 2024 - 2025 Community Proposal Tentative Funding Recommendations
The way that public places and spaces in our city look, feel, and function can have an impact on the public safety outcomes in our community. This year, we want to hear from you about where our city government can make infrastructure investments that will help create safe community outcomes. While we want to hear all your ideas, note that for our capital improvement budget we can only fund ideas that are related to infrastructure owned and maintained by the City. Also, your proposed investment must be something that will last 10 years or more. We will invite eligible ideas to discuss some additional details with City staff.
Please focus your ideas on investments in public infrastructure that will help enhance safety. The City of Saint Paul is accepting project proposals until Sunday, March 24 at 11:59pm.

Eligibility
- Proposed investment must be related to infrastructure owned and maintained by the City
- Proposed investment must last 10 years or more
- Proposed investment must be possible to complete within the funding available.
- Proposed investment must have an impact related to advancing principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
Examples of investments that are NOT eligible for capital funding include: increases or decreases to department staffing, investments or changes to private property such as homes or businesses, trimming or removing trees or plantings (although planting new trees or bushes may be eligible).

Previously Funded Community Projects
2020 - 2021 Community Proposals
In the 2020-2021 Capital Improvement Budget, a total of $1,000,000 was set aside for community proposals. These projects were reviewed and recommended for funding by the CIB Committee, the Mayor, and the City Council as part of the 2021 budget process. Funding for these projects will be allocated via administrative order at the beginning of 2021 to allow technical accounting entries to be completed.
