Greetings to everyone on team Ramsey County and team Saint Paul I mayor Melvin Carter. Well, the enduring impact of this global public health and economic crisis prevent us from gathering in person I look forward to celebrating Black History Month with you virtually. Now more than ever in the face of these uncertain times like history month offers a time to reflect not only on the history of our African-American community but to draw inspiration and hope from the wisdom of our elders as we build our future together. We are truly walking in the footsteps of those who came before us their child's as well as their trials and tribulations serve all of us as we continue our enduring work not only to bend the arc of history toward justice, but to build a better world for our children and grandchildren as you engage with your colleagues over the course of this month during this time physical distance, be sure to continue to deepen the connections you have with your colleagues on team Ramsey County and team Saint Paul and just as all of us continue our work to ensure no one is left behind make sure you're taking care of yourselves because we need you as our teammate in this work.
